Built From Experience, Driven By Impact

The Delacorte Group was founded on a simple observation: mission-driven organizations need more than strategic advice—they need partners who can execute transformation from strategy through shipping code.

After spending 15 years leading product and organizational transformations at UNICEF, Reading Rainbow, and Empatico, founder Ryan Modjeski recognized a persistent gap in the market. Mission-driven organizations face an impossible choice: hire expensive big-firm consultants who deliver beautiful decks but no implementation, or work with offshore development shops that can code but lack strategic vision.

I've built my career solving impossible problems for mission driven organizations. The Delacorte Group is my way of scaling the product-centered work I've done for nonprofits and EdTech organizations to help more good people do good work.

The pattern was clear: transformation requires both strategic clarity and execution muscle. You need someone who can sit in board meetings and write code. Someone who understands nonprofit economics and can manage offshore development teams. Someone who's done it before—successfully—and can teach others how.

The Delacorte Group was built to fill that gap. We combine fractional C-suite leadership with vetted development capabilities, offering mission-driven organizations access to senior strategic expertise and technical execution at economics that actually work for nonprofits and EdTech companies.

As nonprofit executives ourselves, we are building the strategic partner we wished existed when we were there—one that stays embedded through implementation, measures success by shipped product and measurable impact, and treats every client's mission as our own.

Our Approach to Transformation

Four principles that guide every engagement, refined through years of leading high-stakes transformations in mission-driven organizations.

01

We Execute, Not Just Advise

We don't hand you a strategy deck and disappear. We embed with your team as fractional leaders, assemble and manage development teams, and stay until the transformation is shipped and sustainable. Success means working code, not PowerPoint slides.

02

Mission First, Always

We only work with EdTech, nonprofit, and social impact organizations. This focus is fundamental to how we think, price our services, and measure success. Your mission becomes our mission for the duration of the engagement.

03

Senior Leadership Throughout

No bait-and-switch with junior associates. You get senior strategic leadership from day one through final delivery. Every development team we assemble is personally vetted, US-managed, and held to the same standards we'd demand for our own projects.

04

Built for Your Economics

We understand nonprofit and EdTech budgets. Our fractional model gives you C-suite expertise at a fraction of full-time cost. Our development partnerships provide elite offshore talent at prices mission-driven organizations can actually afford—without sacrificing quality.

Core Values

The non-negotiable principles that guide how we show up, how we work, and what success means.

1

Embedded Expertise

We don't just advise—we lead from within, becoming part of your team for the duration of transformation.

2

Systemic Thinking

We see the whole: technology, operations, product, people. Transformation requires understanding how all pieces connect.

3

Narrative Power

We help you make sense of change—to yourself, your board, and your team. Clarity unlocks momentum.

4

Operational Rigor

We build systems that don't just move fast, but move smart. Velocity without discipline is chaos.

5

Implementation Muscle

We assemble and manage full-stack teams to bring transformation to life. Strategy means nothing without execution.

6

Moral Intelligence

Strategy isn't neutral. We help leaders align outcomes with principles—building impact that lasts.
